THE STORY
Coster Ojwang makes music with one foot in the lakeside rhythms he grew up on and one in whatever Nairobi is doing this month. The result is deceptively simple: grooves that feel older than they are and land squarely in the present.
Within the house he is the arranger everyone quietly defers to. If a Kodong Klan record swings, there is a fair chance he decided where the swing sits.
