Kodong Klan started the way most good things in Nairobi start: a handful of people in one room, too broke to be precious about it, too stubborn to stop. Seven voices that could each carry a night alone, choosing to carry it together instead.
The crest came later. So did the shows, the merch, the sold-out rooms. What hasn’t changed is the arrangement: whoever’s up, the rest of the house is behind them.
